In a very self indulgent move this week, I simply want to rant and air my thoughts about a decision I’ve wanted to make for ages but just haven’t had the guts. As you will know if you read my piercing post a while back, I do enjoy the odd body modification and experience a great thrill in the process of getting a new piercing added to me. Tattoos however are a whole other ball game because, unless I want to fork out for expensive laser removal in the future, they are PERMANENT. Piercings I can take out at any time if I decide I don’t like the style or no longer think it fits my vibe, but I couldn’t simply do that with a tattoo. This, and many other factors, have been circling my mind for a while now. The biggest factor I suppose for any first time tattoo is; what on earth should I get? Ideas have come and gone in my mind over the years, but there are certainly ones that have stuck around that I still think would be pretty cool. Hot weather? In the U.K? Surely not. Notice that I’m not calling this my ‘summer’ playlist, because I don’t want to tempt fate, especially since the temperature has already dropped since I first thought of this post idea lol. I also won’t accept it’s summer until my exams are over because the concept of a holiday sucks all of the motivation out of me, and I’m sure many of you can relate. I’m sure many of you will also relate to the fact that music is definitely a seasonal thing, and I can’t help but change my listening based on the weather and my surroundings. So, with even a glimpse of warm weather these past few days, it’s becoming clear what tunes will make their way into my ears this summer, or every time the temperature passes about 10 degrees😄.   I Was a Fool - Sunflower Bean  Recent album release Twentytwo in Blue from this lovely band has come just in time for sunnier days. I’ve loved being back in Liverpool for Easter, and as I write this I am back again for another week or so. Even so, I was still itching to get back to the big city, so it was great having this weekend away planned, for which I will give you the rundown. My best friend Rachel and I bought tickets to see The Vaccines at Alexandra Palace a few months back and I have been excited ever since. By the way, I don’t know when this blog became a Vaccines fan page because I realise this is now the third post in a row that I’m mentioning them but hey, with the new album absolutely killing the game at the moment, I guess it’s my band of the moment. So, with this gig in the diary, it was a perfect opportunity for a weekend away with Rachel, because with me living away, and just life getting in the way in general, we don’t always get time alone to chill. My last day in London before my Easter break was certainly no normal day, but another perfect example of why being in the capital offers so many amazing opportunities. The 30th March marked the release date of The Vaccines’ new album Combat Sports , and to celebrate, HMV Oxford Street hosted both a live performance and a signing for fans anticipating the release. Myself, my flat mate Imogen, and everyone else in the intimate 250 person crowd, were treated to an afternoon of exclusive performances, as well as some old favourites, and I thought I’d retell the day here for my blog, as this (unfortunately) isn’t going to be something that happens every day. Imogen and I got to Oxford Street about an hour before the 2pm signing, sussed everything out and realised we had time to kill, as no one was queuing up yet. After last week’s post I have realised that no list will encompass every song that’s had an impact on me, but both of these posts have given it a good go. It’s so fun reflecting on how certain songs have come into my life and why they’ve made an impact on me. So, without further ado, here’s part two of my favourite songs ever; by no means an exhaustive list, but still a pretty darn important one for me.
